Journal Editorship

​Dr. Kirk A. Bingaman is the editor-in-chief of Pastoral Psychology, one of the most well-established and respected academic journals in the field of psychology and religion/spirituality. Pastoral Psychology is an international forum that publishes scholarly, peer-reviewed, original articles that address varied aspects of religion and spirituality from psychological, human science, and interfaith perspectives.

Clinical Practice

​Dr. Kirk A. Bingaman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, and has a psychotherapy practice with the Lutheran Counseling Service of New York. He has worked as a clinical practitioner for more than 25 years, providing counseling services that emphasize a strengths-based, mindfulness-based, and spiritually-informed approach to counseling.

Pastoral Practice

The Rev. Dr. Kirk Bingaman  is an ordained member of the Hudson River Presbytery (Presbyterian Church, U.S.A.), and serves as parish associate at Scarborough Presbyterian Church in Scarborough, NY. His duties include worship leadership, adult education, and pastoral outreach.
