2025 Positive Psychology 2.0 International Conference, Hong Kong 

Dr. Bingaman gave two keynote presentations at the Positive Psychology 2.0 International Conference at Tung Wah University in Hong Kong: (1) Spirituality and Transcendence in the Digital Age: Navigating an Era of Exponential Change, and (2) Spiritual and Cognitive-Behavioral Approaches: New Directions in Mental Healthcare.

2025 International Association of Spiritual Care (IASC) Conference, Chicago: Spiritual Care as Resistance

Dr. Bingaman's presentation at the IASC conference in Chicago (Summer 2025) focused on "AI and Spiritual Care in the context of Resistance to Present Socio-cultural and Political Realities."

Dr. Kirk Bingaman was a panelist for the following session of the Psychology, Culture, and Religion Group at the recent meeting of the American Academy of Religion. His
presentation focused on, “AI won the first round with social media: Reflections on what comes next, and the implications for educators, care providers, and faith communities”.

"AI Won the First Round with Social Media: Reflections on What Comes Next, and the Implications for Faith Communities and Care Providers" was a timely presentation  by Dr. Kirk A. Bingaman. In this session, Dr. Bingaman examined the profound ways artificial intelligence and digital technologies have reshaped human experience, particularly through the influence of social media.  Drawing from his interdisciplinary expertise in psychology, theology, and neuroscience, Dr. Bingaman challenged audiences to consider how evolving technologies are redefining what it means to be human—and how care providers can respond with ethics, empathy, and adaptability in an increasingly digital world.
